LAXMI SAT ISABGOL
Beneift of Psyllium husk( SAT ISABGOL)
Psyllium may help with weight loss control. Also see an effective appetite suppressant called Diet Rx with no side effects.
Psyllium is a wonderful bulking fiber for constipation. Another benefit of psyllium husk is that it reduces fecal incontinence.
Psyllium helps maintain healthy cholesterol and blood lipid levels.
In 1998, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration authorized the use of a health claim in the labeling of foods and dietary supplements containing psyllium husk. The health claim states that diets low in saturated fat and cholesterol that include soluble fiber per day from psyllium may reduce the risk of heart disease by lowering cholesterol.
Psyllium may help maintain healthy blood pressure.
Psyllium added to a traditional diet for persons with type II diabetes is safe, well tolerated, and improves glycemic and lipid control.
Psyllium reduces radiation-induced diarrhea.
Psyllium could be helpful for hemorrhoids since it softens the stools.

Psyllium fiber is best taken in a dose of 1 to 5 grams with a meal, particularly if the meal has a low fiber content. You can mix half a teaspoon or a teaspoon of psyllium fiber with a glass of water, once or twice a day. I also recommend drinking a glass of water in the morning when you wake up.

Are you taking a Psyllium supplement? - Assets of Psyllium

Psyllium is perhaps the most complete vitamin that can be taken by an athlete. For a person to act at its pinnacle, it must be fostered with a mingled pattern of essential nutrients.  Becoming imperfect in Psyllium impairs metabolic pathways that conceive flawless efficiency and your efficacy worsens.  Avoid this!  Routine incorporation of a Psyllium supplement may help establish the existence of required cofactors for a multitude of metabolic circumstances.

Sunday Lee, a Experimental Assembler from San Francisco, says that their health has improved tremendously since taking a Psyllium supplement.

Last word? If you don't use Psyllium your body will never arrive at greatest potential

                                                                                         (  PSYLLIUM  )
psylliumpad
Psyllium comes from the Greek word ‘psylla’ meaning a flea, because the seed resembles a flea. This herb is a bulk laxative that increases the volume of the intestinal contents. The major component of psyllium is mucilage. The seeds and the husk are hydrophilic bulking agents which swell several times greater than their original size in water. This increased bulk creates a stretching action on the wall of the intestine that stimulates peristaltic activity in the bowel, The indigestible mucilage is found both in the whole seed and the husk and swells when it comes in contact with water. This property has been used in diet aids to fill the stomach and intestines, as a bulk laxative and also works in diarrhea by forming a bulk that will slow down rapid, loose stools. Its drawing action makes it a good base for an internal poultice. When psyllium is taken with water or liquids and when six cups or more of fluid are taken with psyllium in a day, the psyllium acts as a bulking laxative by swelling in the intestinal tract. This aids in standardizing the habitual bowel movement, preferably a bowel movement with each normal sized meal.

The Psyllium husks are a lubricating, mucilaginous, fibrous herb with drawing, cleansing, laxative properties. The husks acts as a "colon broom" for those suffering with chronic constipation.. This process of the use, made by an intake of Psyllium seed hull, is effective for inflammatory diverticulitis, as a lubricant for ulcerous mucosal lining tissue, a balancer and regulator for digestive enzymes and colon bacteria.

When taken properly internally, Psyllium helps overcome chronic constipation. Psyllium has a unique action in the bowels as it can act as a demulcent or emollient, it can be used to either stop diarrhea or to do away with constipation, depending on the technique used. These hydrophilic bulking qualities have made it popular for weight loss programs as it fills the gastrointestinal tract with a bulk that is mostly calorie free, thus doing away with the urge to eat and helping to reduce excess weight.

In India, Psyllium has been used as a diuretic, and in China, related herbal combinations are used to treat bloody urine, coughing and high blood pressure, etc. These get results due to the healing abilities of the body when the colon waste is removed and the body is allowed to gain better health, which in turn aids in all bodily areas.

Psyllium used in the above described manner will relieve a physical condition described as autointoxication, in which the body due to an indecent intake of wrong foods and food combinations and other unhealthful habits, poisons itself by producing and reabsorbing an excess of intestinal waste products. The proper use of Psyllium, as described above, helps over a period of time to remove the offending substances. Health and well-being are the result of properly following these described procedures.

Psyllium used in a proper manner, is an excellent cleanser for the intestines and colon. It also acts to lubricate, moisten and heal the intestinal tract. Psyllium is very moisture absorbing, so it is essential always to take over 8 glasses of water daily with it, as it expands, and it would be advantageous, even essential, to use an herbal laxative with it. Psyllium’s soluble fibers prevent cholesterol absorption, It has insoluble fibers that have a scrubbing action as they pass through the intestines ridding it of old excess intestinal debris. Psyllium removes putrifactive toxins from the intestines, and adds bulk to the stool which absorbs toxins, soothes inflamed tissues, promotes the growth of friendly colon bacteria and reduce time thru the colon.

FDA ALLOWS FOODS CONTAINING PSYLLIUM
TO MAKE HEALTH CLAIM ON REDUCING RISK OF HEART DISEASE

FDA today ruled that labels on certain foods containing soluble fiber from psyllium seed husk (PSH), such as certain breakfast cereals, may claim that these foods, as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease (CHD).

The following may be used to answer questions.

FDA authorizes health claims on food labels under provisions of the Nutrition Labeling and Education Act of 1990 to ensure that claims are accurate and not misleading to consumers. Health claims are authorized only if, based on the totality of publicly available scientific evidence, there is significant scientific agreement that the claim is true.

The psyllium health claim is an amendment to the FDA regulation published on January 23, 1997, which allows a health claim on the association between soluble fiber from whole oats and a reduced risk of coronary heart disease. In allowing the whole oats-CHD health claim, FDA acknowledged the likelihood that soluble fiber from sources other than whole oats could affect blood lipid levels and thus lower the risk of heart disease. However, since soluble dietary fibers are a family of very heterogeneous substances that vary greatly in their effect on risk of CHD, a case-by-case approach is necessary to evaluate petitions for health claims for soluble fiber. The new amendment adds PSH to the sources of soluble fiber allowed to carry the claim for the nutrient-disease relationship of soluble fiber and CHD.

During this rulemaking, FDA evaluated placebo-controlled studies that tested an intake of 10.2 grams of PSH (about 7 grams of soluble fiber) per day as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol. These studies showed consistently significant blood total- and LDL-cholesterol lowering effects. Foods carrying the health claim must provide at least 1.7 grams of soluble fiber from PSH per reference amount customarily consumed of the product. This single-serving size, multiplied by 4 eating occasions per day, totals the 7-gram per day intake of the controlled studies.

The soluble fiber of psyllium comes from the dried husk of the psyllium seed. Psyllium, primarily cultivated in India, is known as blond or Indian psyllium. Currently it is used in Kellogg's Bran Buds and in a variety of dietary supplement products promoted for increased fiber intake and as aids for weight loss.

Because some foods containing PSH can be difficult to swallow, foods carrying the PSH health claim must also have a label statement advising of the need to consume the food with adequate amounts of liquid and to avoid eating the food if one has difficulty swallowing. Certain foods that do not pose such a choking risk may be exempt from this requirement.

An example of how the newly allowed health claim may be used is:

  • "The soluble fiber from psyllium seed husk in this product, as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of heart disease."
The new health claim responds to a petition submitted by the Kellogg Company and will be published February 18, 1998 in the Federal Register to become effective immediately.

DEATH  STARTS FROM THE COLON
USE  ALWAYS "LAXMI" SAT ISABGOL (PSYLLIUM)

Many of the leading Naturopathic doctors know that death begins in the colon. We try out best to get this point across to our patients, but for some reason, people are very detached from this issue and do not like to address it. Embarrassment maybe? Icky subject? Bathroom Trauma? I don't know, but folks, this is a serious as it can be and needs to be looked at head on, discussed and corrected, if you ever have a hope of being healthy! Naturopathic medicine and treatment of the body is based on two very simple principles. A healthy body will get ill for two reasons. One, the body has become toxic and has too much to process and the organs and systems begin to break down. This can be due to infections from microorganisms, pesticides, heavy metals, etc... Detoxing is the number one treatment that is used by naturopaths. The three areas of the body that become problematic first are the areas that work on eliminating these toxins from the body. The liver, the kidneys and the colon. If any one of those three gets overloaded, symptoms of illness will begin to set in. It has always been alarming to me, how people disregard this basic principle and continue to add toxins into their bodies when they are all ready not functioning at 100%. Our number one liver detox is the 4-Herb Tea and for the kidneys we use Dr. Chi's Asparagus Extract packets. Both of these are recommended for at least 3 months and can be taken at the same time. The focus today, however, is on the toxic colon. A healthy, proper functioning colon, is critical to a healthy body, yet most people ignore this. I have patients who have told me that they have bowel movements once a week, some even longer than that. Now think about this. You eat two to three meals a day. The body is supposed to break the food down and use the nutritional content and expel the rest in a timely fashion. A person with a normal healthy colon should have at least one or two bowel movements a day. If you don't, this is what happens. The food rots in there. Parasites take hold, bacteria and candida take hold and all kinds of problems begin. This rotting fecal matter gives off toxins that puts the rest of the body on overload trying to eliminate it. The number one cause of headaches, which is a toxic condition, is constipation.

When this rotting starts, the poisons and opportunistic organisms move also into the small intestine. Here you have the chronic candida problem leading to Reflux disease and digestive disorders, including chronic bloating and flatulence. Not only this, but when the problem reaches overload, lesions in the colon, polyps, and cancer (mutating cells due to too many toxins) arise. Colon cancer is preventable by making sure your colon is cleaned out and running properly. It is also one of the easiest cancers to cure, by the way. I don't care what the medical profession says about cancer being incurable, I have seen it cured so many times in the last 18 years, I have no doubt that it is completely curable!

Healthy bowel movements should have no smell. They should be passed with little to no straining and the body should be sending you a clear signal when you have to go. If you ignore this, the fecal matter will dry out and continue to build up and become toxic. Cleaning out the colon, is one of the easiest and best things that you can possibly do for your health and longevity.

The other cause of illness is malnutrition. Yes, that's right, malnutrition and millions of Americans are dying of it right now. I have seen alarming trends in my hair analysis reports. At least 80% of my recent cases have all had serious malnutrition issues. Most of these people that I test take vitamins and supplements too, but why are they not absorbing them? Simply because the colon is not working properly and is toxic. Without colon cleansing the walls of the colon build up a tough mucus coating which interferes with proper nutrient absorption. Also parasites that make their home there, continue to eat up the nutrients sent down to help the body. Chronic candida gives off toxic mycotoxins that also interfere with absorption. My research has shown that chronic candida depletes iron and calcium from the body leading to Chronic Fatigue syndrome, Fibromyalgia, leg cramping and arthritis symptoms. Also many people are totally depleted of enzymes, which are only found in raw foods and enzyme supplements, and these are essential for breaking down the food into assimulatable form. People that have taken antibiotics have also killed off the natural disease fighting acidophilus and bifidus bacteria in the colon leaving it wide open for all opportunistic infections. But let me say this one more time, if your colon has never been cleansed then you are at high risk for major illness problems.
